Having your application spring someone from prison can have a big impact on user adoption.  It seems that ever sense that infamous twit, the march has been on to use the technology...  As it stands today, I don't twit, or is it twitter?  I don't do either.  Love Facebook, except the overuse (and subsequent email update) by people with not much else to do.  Love Linkedin, except, you know how when you're trying to use it to generate contact with folks, to generate a business opportunity and the person doesn't respond because they probably suspect that all you want to do is generate business... can't fault the technology on that one.
