There’s A New Vibe At Vibe Entertainment
Atlanta’s Premiere Mitzvah And Event Entertainment Company Is Growing – To Better Serve The Atlanta and Southeast Market
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--From the day Joy Hoffmann launched Vibe Entertainment www.vibeentertainmentinc.com, back in 2004, she knew it had the potential to grow into one of the most significant Mitzvah and event production companies in the Southeast. She and Jamal Jones, Vibe’s production manager, and one of the area’s hottest party emcees of the decade, had created a winner.
“The community really responded to Vibe, to our performers, and our service model from the day we opened our doors. That response, and the company have grown every year since,” said Vibe Entertainment Inc. founder, Joy Hoffmann.
In 2006, Vibe added Brenda Gelfand to its sales team. The company’s roster of Atlanta’s best dancers, DJs, emcees, and partners also grew. Today, Vibe is the preferred entertainment for mitzvahs, school dances and summer camps - as well as weddings, corporate events and other celebrations throughout the year.
“I realized I wanted to give the company every opportunity to continue growing, and to get back to what I really like doing – interacting with the community, and working with families to ensure they get the very best event Vibe can offer,” said Joy.
In July of this year, Hoffmann made the decision to sell Vibe to a new owner, and to stay on board in a sales/relationship management capacity.
“The decision to sell was bittersweet. But once we found the right new owner, I knew I was making the right decision for Vibe, and our customers and friends. Once Russell and I talked about his vision for the company, the choice got a lot easier,” Joy said.
Russell is Russell Griffin – founder and president of Griffin MarCom Inc. www.griffinmarcom.com and, now, the new owner of Vibe Entertainment.
Russell and Griffin MarCom Inc. returned to Atlanta earlier this year – having spent the past five years in New England, where he was an executive with MetLife.
Griffin MarCom was launched here in Atlanta in 2000, where Russell and his family lived from 1996 to 2003, and where he was a member and the treasurer of the former Jewish Black Business Coalition. Griffin’s experience includes executive level tenure with KeyCorp, Wachovia, and most recently MetLife. He is a well-known business leader and marketer, with deep experience in event and entertainment planning and management. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Harvard Business School Program for Leadership Development.
“I see in Vibe a vibrant and dynamic, service-oriented company. In addition to serving corporate clients with strategic marketing and communications support, Griffin MarCom has been managing bands here in Atlanta since 2001. The businesses are complementary in that way – as well as in their friendly, expert service models,” said Griffin.
Going forward, Vibe will continue to bring high-energy, and the best talent in the industry to all of its events. The company will add new and exciting entertainers to its roster of well-known and loved stars. Vibe will also add new event enhancement technologies, and increased levels of customer service to ensure that its customers receive nothing but the best for their special occasions.
“I know I can speak for Joy, Jamal, Brenda, and all our talented professionals in saying that we really enjoy being a part of our customers’ lives. Actually in both businesses our customers are like family,” Griffin said.
